We use these guidelines to approve or reject ads.

  1. General
    1. Audience match: Refind must be able to target the ad's audience.
    2. Clear offer: The ad and landing page must be understood by the target audience.
    3. Clean copy: Refind ads only allow basic letters, numbers, and punctuation. No emojis.
  2. Newsletter Ads
    1. Newsletters only: Editorial newsletters only.
    2. English only: At this point, we’re only promoting English newsletters.
    3. Free newsletters only: Promoted newsletters must be free. Paid tiers are ok, as long as they are additional to the free version. A free version cannot have a time limit.
    4. No purely promotional newsletters: We reject newsletters that promote a business or podcast only.
    5. Sender name must match the ad: The newsletter sender name must contain the newsletter brand name on the ad. Additions like “Joe from Superletter” are ok.
    6. Clean description copy: The short description must be in default letter case and must end with a period.
  3. Website Ads
    1. Landing page quality: We reject ads that link to landing pages with typos, low image quality, no mobile optimization, etc.
    2. No dark patterns: We reject ads that link to landing pages that make use of deceptive design patterns like count-downs, FOMO-tactics etc.
