How it works

  1. You set your own CPA and daily budget.
  2. We promote your newsletter on Refind (500k+ subscribers) and in matching partner newsletters.
  3. People subscribe to your newsletter directly from within Refind.
  4. We send them to your ESP (Beehiiv, ConvertKit, MailerLite, etc.).

You can pause and resume your ad at anytime.

Pricing models

We offer two pricing models:

  1. Pay per subscriber: you pay for all subscribers
  2. Pay per engaged subscriber (new, recommended): you only pay for subscribers who interact with your newsletter in their first 7 days

Who counts as engaged?

In the pay per engaged subscriber model, we classify subscribers based on their interaction in the first 7 days after subscribing. People who unsubscribe or don’t open any email count as unengaged and you don’t pay for them. Also, emails who bounce/complain get voided too.

We use multiple data sources for the classification:

  1. Our own data

    We use interaction data from our own daily newsletter (Refind) to classify subscribers. Chances are high that people who don’t interact with our newsletter also don’t interact with yours.

  2. Your data (interaction with your newsletter)

    Automatic**:** If your ESP supports it, we pull engagement information to classify subscribers we sent you. This is the case for Beehiiv so if your newsletter is based on Beehiiv and you’ve connected it in the Refind Ads Manager, you don’t need to do anything – it’s fully automated.

    Manual**:** If your ESP doesn’t support it, you can upload your own engagement data via CSV. In most cases this is not necessary since we detect most of the unengaged subscribers with our own data (1) already.

<aside> 🌟 Most Favored Nation (MFN) If any data source indicates that a subscriber is unengaged, we count them as unengaged and you don’t pay for them. For example, if a subscriber interacts with Refind but not with your newsletter, you don’t pay for them. Or the other way around, if a subscriber interacts with your newsletter but not with Refind, you don’t pay for them.
